From Bryan, Ohio, to Academic Leadership
Raised in Bryan, Ohio, Russell Miller arrived at The University of Toledo in the late 1950s, where he began an academic journey that would shape his life’s work. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1961, graduating from UToledo with a strong foundation in science and disciplined inquiry. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Miller pursued advanced education at the University of Michigan, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He later completed a master’s degree at the University of Iowa and a Ph.D. at the University of Chicago.
