**Cecelia Adams (’80 ME, ’91, ’96 PhD) is departing her seat on the Toledo City Council after a six-year term. Youth and education-focused initiatives were always a priority for Adams. While on Council, she gained unanimous support for $2.5 million in renovations to the Frederick Douglass Community Center.

Gary Pinkel is being inducted into the 2022 class of the College Football Hall of Fame as the winningest head coach at both The University of Toledo and the University of Missouri. He is the first coach from Toledo and the sixth coach from Missouri to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

1970s

Chuck Ealey (’72) was inducted into the 2022 class of the College Football Hall of Fame. Ealey never lost a game in his three seasons as the Rockets’ starting quarterback. After graduating from UToledo, Ealey signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League and had a successful career in the CFL from ’72-78.

Robert Wisniewski (’76) has been appointed by the governor of Arizona to The Maricopa Court Commission on Trial Court Appointments. The commission recommends candidates for the position of trial court judges in Maricopa County Superior Courts.

1980s

Anthony Chow (’89) has been inducted into “Marquis Who’s Who”. Individuals are selected on the basis of current reference value, such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence. Since 2020, Chow has served as chief executive officer of Newegg Commerce, Inc.

1990s

Chris Adams (’95) is the current CEO of Park Place Technologies. Adams has been selected by the judges of World Biz Magazine’s annual awards to be a recipient of the “Top 100 CEOs in Innovation Award 2021”. This selection follows a stringent process that evaluated over 40,000 nominees to select the exclusive list of 100 winners.

*Jonie McIntire (’99) is the first woman and the third individual to be named Lucas County poet laureate, replacing University of Toledo professor Jim Ferris. She will receive an annual honorarium to perform public poetry readings and attend community, cultural and civic events.

2010s

Bradford Davy (’10) was appointed as Cleveland Mayor-elect’s chief strategy officer. Davy will also serve as a senior
advisor to the mayor and will provide him with counsel on a variety of highly complex and sensitive issues, including addressing racial equity, lead, the West Side Market, arts and culture, and more.

Satish Lakhapatri (’10 PEG) was one of four new hires at NovoNutrients to make protein from carbon dioxide. As the new VP of Engineering, Satish is responsible for scale-up, reactor design and process development.

Dylan Krendl (’16, ’19 JD, ’19 MBA) was recently hired as an associate attorney at RCO Law in its Business and Corporate, Litigation and Wealth Preservation Practice Groups. Dylan is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Hancock County Bar Association and Putnam County Bar Association. For the past 10 years, Dylan has volunteered with the Knights of Columbus and Habitat for Humanity, Findlay.

2020s

*Kathleen Murray (’21 JD) was recently hired as an associate attorney at RCO Law in its Business and Corporate, Litigation and Wealth Preservation Practice Groups. Kate is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Toledo Bar Association. She is a former managing editor of The University of Toledo Law Review.
