Don Warner ’76 was selected for induction into the Clay High School Distinguished Alumnus Hall of Fame.

1990s

Bowman-English

*Vallie Bowman-English ’92 began her term on the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors as president-elect of the association on July 1. Bowman-English serves as the Toledo Municipal Clerk of Courts, a position she has held since 2003. She has served on the bar’s Board of Governors representing attorneys in Ohio Bar District 4 since 2021.

**Anthony Hopkins ’93 is celebrating completing his third book in a 23-year period. His publications include Essays, My Grace is Sufficient for Me and the Best of Anthony Hopkins.

Kerry Trautman ‘98 has published her 9th book, Things to Say When You Have Nothing to Say, a poetry collection available from Roadside Press.

2000s

*Reginald Temple ’03 was selected as a Fair Housing Movement Awardee by the The Fair Housing Center for his commitment to financial education and his advocacy for reinvestment in historically underserved communities.

Hawke-Diop

Carole Hawke-Diop ’05 was named Volunteer of the Year by the Siena Literacy Center in Detroit. Hawke-Diop, who lives in Detroit, has volunteered at the center for three years.

Skow

**Sarah Skow ’06 was elected by her peers to represent Ohio Bar member attorneys in District 4, which includes Lucas, Ottawa and Sandusky counties. At the Ohio Bar, Skow has served on the association’s Council of Delegates, the Advisory Council on Diversity Initiatives and the Futures Commission. She is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Ohio Bar Leadership Academy.

La Tasha Sullivan ’07, director of the UToledo University Counseling Center, received an award from Prevention First, a leading nonprofit organization focused on promoting healthy behaviors and preventing drug and alcohol misuse. The funding supports her project titled: “Prevention and Support UT”.

Joshua Tucholski ’07, co-founder of VITALS (vitals.me), is publicly launching the Ohio startup this August to help people better understand themselves so they can make more confident decisions about their careers, relationships, and personal growth. Built on validated personality science, VITALS creates a personalized understanding of how each individual thinks, communicates, learns, and makes decisions, giving people practical insights they can apply throughout their lives.
