1980

Dr. Matthew Isaac ’81 announces the release of his second novel, Broken Chains, published by Veritas Vincit Press on November 10, 2025. Set in Kerala, India, the story follows a love that transcends caste and faith, exploring themes of equality, freedom, and moral choice. The book will be available in eBook, paperback, and hardcover through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart.

Jon Vogt ’85 traveled through Europe in September 2025 with his wife and oldest daughter and proudly sporting his University of Toledo Rockets gear along the way.

1990

Dr. R. Michael Buehrer ’91 has been conferred the Fred C. Lee Endowed Chair by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors. The chair, established in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, honors the founder and director emeritus of the Center for Power Electronics Systems and University Distinguished Professor Emeritus Fred C. Lee.

Kimberley Cummings ’97 has been appointed senior vice president of regulatory affairs at Avalyn Pharma, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing inhaled therapies for life-threatening pulmonary diseases.

2000

Benjamin Brydges ’06 has been appointed chief executive officer of Wood-Mizer, where he will lead the company’s continued expansion and strengthen its global presence in sawmilling and wood processing equipment.

2010

Kaitlynn Donnelly ’13, assistant Platte County prosecuting attorney, has been honored with the Missouri Bar Foundation’s Lon O. Hocker Award in recognition of her outstanding trial work in the State of Missouri.

Srinitya Tripuraneni ’13 earned her master’s degree in library and information science from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois, in 2024. After completing an internship at the Allen County Museum in Ohio, she began her current role as an Adult Services Library Assistant at the Sycamore Public Library in Illinois.
