Art on the Mall Celebrates 32 Years of Creativity and Community

By Anastasia Ortiz

Temperatures soared, but so did spirts on The University of Toledo’s main campus as Art on the Mall made its sizzling return on Sunday, July 27. Under the summer sun, guests braved the heat to explore bold artwork, enjoy live music and celebrate 32 years of this beloved UToledo tradition, hosted by the Alumni Association.

More than 100 artists from across the country showcased an array of work, from bold acrylics and delicate glass to intricate jewelry and mixed media.

“This event brought the community together on our scenic campus for a day of creativity and connection,” said William Pierce, associate vice president of alumni engagement and annual giving and executive director of the UToledo Alumni Association. “It was an opportunity to celebrate artists from the region, explore amazing works across multiple mediums, and enjoy the vibrant spirit that makes Toledo truly special.”
