A Homecoming Like This Happens Once Every 150 Years

Homecoming 2022 was spectacular! The weather was perfect and there was an abundance of smiles from people of all ages. It was great to see so many familiar faces on campus throughout the weekend and a pleasure to meet some alumni for the first time. As always, our campus was beautifully adorned with fall foliage and abuzz with excitement from our students.

Here are just a few exciting happenings that took place:

This Homecoming was also unique because The University of Toledo is celebrating its sesquicentennial. For 150 years, UToledo has been providing a life-changing education to our students. Alumni like you have gone on to conduct cutting-edge research, perform on stage, heal patients, teach in classrooms and make an impact in communities around the globe.

As I look back and reflect on a great weekend, I can’t help but have a renewed sense of pride and optimism in our University and our path forward.

In celebrating our legacy and eagerly anticipating the future, UToledo has launched our sesquicentennial fundraising campaign which will directly support need-based scholarships for deserving students.

I encourage you to participate in sesquicentennial celebrations through June 2023, including in-person or virtual events and supporting need-based scholarships.

Stay safe, stay well and Go Rockets!
