1970s

Pletz

**Thomas G. Pletz (Law ’71) received the 2020 Robert A. Kelb Distinguished Service Award from the Toledo Bar Association. The award is present annually by the TBA Board of Directors to a member who has unselfishly served the bar association and its members. He practices in the litigation practice group of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP and has more than 45 years of experience in state and federal court litigation. His focus is in the areas of constitutional and statutory rights, and in defamation and education law, as well as complex product liability cases, special remedies and religious organizations.


1980s

Sullivan

Pamala Sullivan (Eng ’88) has been elected to the National Hydropower Association (NHA) board of directors. The NHA is a national non-profit trade association dedicated exclusively to advancing the interests of U.S. hydropower industry. Sullivan is the chief operating officer of American Municipal Power, Inc., located in Columbus, Ohio


1990s

Allen

Clara Allen (Ed ’92) was appointed as the executive director at The Reutlinger Community, a Jewish retirement facility in Danville, Calif.

Brandt

Daniel J. Brandt (Law ’97) was promoted to chief of the criminal division of the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s office, located in Dayton, Ohio.

Elder

Kevin E. Elder (MED ’99) recently had a book published, “PRP: A Roadmap for Success.” This is an informative, logical guide for the patient and medical provider alike in navigating the emerging field of regenerative medicine/orthobiologics/”stem cell” treatments.
Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit (MBA ’95) was appointed as executive director for the investment division of Lembaga Tabung Haji, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Chris Hocevar (Bus ’96) is the executive partner of Flare Capital Partners, a leading healthcare technology venture capital firm located in Boston, Mass.
Tammy Lavalette (Law ’99) was selected by the Sylvania Board of Education to fill a vacant seat through the end of 2021.
Dr. William V. Mars (MEng ’99, Ph.D. ’01) is the president of Endurica LLC, based in Findlay, Ohio. Endurica recently received the 2020 United States Small Business Administration (SBA) Tibbetts Award. The award recognizes companies that best exemplify the spirit and intent of the SBA’s Small Business Innovation Research Program. Endurica provides the world’s most comprehensive tools and workflows for fatigue analysis of elastomers.

Oliva

Christopher Oliva (MBA ’93) is the office managing partner for the New York office of Crowe LLP, a public accounting, consulting and technology firm with offices around the world. In this role, he will oversee local office personnel and strategy, while continuing to lead tax services in the New York office.


2010s

Caddell

*Clinton Caddell (Eng ’18) serves as new model project lead for Honda of America Mfg.’s 2022 Acura MDX, which began mass production in January. Caddell works in the East Liberty, Ohio Auto Plant.
Zack Hohl (Law ’12) was elected as partner of Graydon Law. He is a member of the firm’s commercial real estate group, working out of its downtown Cincinnati Headquarters. Hohl practices in the areas of environmental and real estate law.

Holliday

Wyatt J. Holliday (Law ’12) was named partner of the law firm Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. He is a member of the employee compensation and benefits/ERISA practice group in the Toledo office.
