Nominations open for Blue T, Gold T, Edward H. Schmidt alumni awards

By Amanda Clark

The University of Toledo has many outstanding alumni; those who graduated from UToledo and the Medical College of Ohio. We need your help in identifying these individuals so they may be considered for the UToledo Alumni Association’s most prestigious awards:

The Gold T is awarded to a UToledo/MCO alum in recognition of outstanding achievement in his/her field of endeavor while providing leadership and noteworthy service to the community. This award recognizes an individual who has achieved statewide, national or international status in their professional career.

The Blue T is awarded to a UToledo/MCO graduate who has made outstanding contributions to the progress and development of the Alumni Association and the University.

The Edward H. Schmidt Outstanding Young Alum award is presented to a UToledo/MCO graduate 40 years of age or younger in recognition of outstanding achievement in his/her field of endeavor, while providing leadership and noteworthy service to the Alumni Association, University or community.

Homecoming 2020 is on Saturday, Oct. 3, and the awards will be presented at the Alumni Homecoming Gala on Friday, Oct. 2. Please help us identify potential recipients for these awards.

To submit a nomination, contact Sarah Metzger at sarah.metzger2@utoledo.edu or 800.235.6766 with the name, email address or telephone number of your nominee and the award for which he or she is being nominated. Sarah will contact this individual to collect additional background information for the committee to consider. We will not reveal the names of the nominator to the nominees.

All nominees submitted in 2019 remain in the pool of potential candidates and need not be re-nominated.

Please submit your nomination by April 15 so we may identify our outstanding achievers.

If you have any questions, please contact William Pierce, associate vice president of Alumni Engagement and executive director of the Alumni Association, at 800.235.6766 or william.pierce@utoledo.edu.
