1960s

George Palovich (Ed ’60) and his wife, Janet Trisler, have been invited to show a retrospective of their artwork covering 50 years of creating and teaching art. The couple met at Kent State University, where George completed his master’s in fine arts degree. They have lived in Arizona for the past 23 years. Palovich was the curator at the West Valley Art Museum for 15 years.

1970s

**Richard Carr (A/S ’79, Law ’83) was selected to be part of a multi-state designation of mayors traveling to Beijing, China, in November 2019. Carr serves as the mayor of Maumee, Ohio.

1990s

Dr. William Mars (MEng ’99, PhD ’01) is the founder and president of Endurica LLC, a company that focuses on applications in automotive light weighting and consumer electronics. Endurica announced the addition of the Reliability Module to its family of Fatigue Property Mapping testing services. The new module quantifies failure statistics from a population of 50 replicate experiments.

2000s

Josh Cooper (Bus ’03, Law ’12) is a recipient of a 2019 20 Under 40 Leadership Recognition Award in Toledo. He was selected from a field of 200 nominated candidates. The 20 Under 40 program focuses on individuals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their careers and/or the community. Cooper co-founded Whitelabel, a web development agency with a growing list of regional, national and international clients.

**Greg Braylock Jr. (Ed ’07) is a recipient of a 2019 20 Under 40 Leadership Recognition Award in Toledo. He was selected from a field of 200 nominated candidates. The 20 Under 40 program focuses on individuals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their careers and/or the community. Braylock is the vice president of operations at ProMedica Health System.

*Ambrea Mikolajczyk (Pharm ’03) is a recipient of a 2019 20 Under 40 Leadership Recognition Award in Toledo. She was selected from a field of 200 nominated candidates. The 20 Under 40 program focuses on individuals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their careers and/or the community. Mikolajczyk is the owner of ARK Restoration & Construction, which manages and restores ‘undesirable’ properties in the community.

 

 

Adam Smidi (Bus ’05, MBA ’09) is a recipient of a 2019 20 Under 40 Leadership Recognition Award in Toledo. He was selected from a field of 200 nominated candidates. The 20 Under 40 program focuses on individuals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their careers and/or the community. Smidi teaches business and communication classes at both UToledo and BGSU. He was appointed to the BGSU Board of Trustees in 2018.

 

 

 

Alicia Frank (HHS ’15, HHS ’17) and Mitch Reinhart announced their engagement and June 19, 2020 wedding in Tiffin, Ohio. Alicia is a preschool speech-language pathologist at the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center, and Mitch is employed at Concordance Healthcare Solutions in Tiffin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

*Dr. Chelsea Deniston (HHS ’15, PhD ’18) and Kyle Clay were united in marriage on Sept. 7, 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg, Ohio. Chelsea is employed by ProMedica and Encompass Care Therapy in Toledo, and Kyle works at the Port of Monroe in Michigan. The couple honeymooned in Europe, including London, Barcelona and Mallorca.

 

 

 

*Lindsay Froelich (MHHS ’19) and James Estle married on Oct. 5, 2019 in St. John’s Catholic Church in Defiance, Ohio. Lindsay is a school counselor at Fairview Elementary School in Sherwood, Ohio, and James is self-employed. They honeymooned in the south Caribbean and reside in Paulding, Ohio.

 

 

 

 

Nicole Baumann-Amborski (CALL ’13) and Brad Amborski (Bus ’13) welcomed their daughter, Evelyn Sandra Amborski, to their family on Oct. 16, 2019.
