Send Us Your Campus Move-In Memories!

By Karlie Lokuta '19, '19

Ah, move-in week: Before classes officially start at The University of Toledo, the campus is filled with vehicles of emotional parents, bins filled to the brim and mini-fridges being pushed by excited students.

To celebrate current students returning to campus, the Alumni Association wants to hear your favorite memories during move-in week! Did you meet your best friend? Capture a signature photo of Rocky or Rocksy? Paint the rock with your residence hall floor?

We encourage you to share your memory above or post on social media using the hashtag #TolMoveIn. We’ll be featuring some of the submissions for our September issue, so be sure to watch for yours!

Whether you were a freshman or a senior Resident Advisor, moving into one of UToledo’s residence halls never failed to be an adrenaline-filled experience. From chasing down a move-in bin to claiming the “best” side of the room, that day always seemed to set the precedent for the rest of the semester.

Our recent alumni weathered a unique environment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With no move-in week, no welcome week events and a quiet campus in 2020, the Alumni Association and the rest of the university is so excited to welcome students in person this fall.
