1970s

**Richard Carr (A/S ’79, Law ’83) was re-elected Mayor of the City of Maumee, Ohio.

1980s

Jeff Wawrzyniak (A/S ’88, Law ’91) joined Brake Parts Inc. as the chief legal officer. Brake Parts Inc. is a manufacturer and supplier of brake parts and a global leader in the aftermarket automotive industry, headquartered in McHenry, Ill.

 

David Waxman (Law ’86) is currently employed by McGlinchey Stafford and has been named a 2020 Ohio Rising Star. No more than 5% of Ohio attorneys are selected by Super Lawyers for this distinction. The Ohio Rising Star recipients have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Waxman practices business/corporate, environmental and real estate law.

2000s

*Stephen Barnes (A/S ’00) is director of sales and marketing at BestRx Pharmacy Software, located in Oak Brook, Ill. In this role, Barnes oversees all sales personnel at BestRx, the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies, materials, campaigns, social media strategy and content, and building brand awareness.

2010s

*Ramadevi Kannan (MBA ’16) was named a regional recipient of the 2019 Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs Teaching Excellence Award. The award recognizes individuals who exemplify teaching excellence in the classroom. Kannan is a professor at Owens Community College, located in Perrysburg, Ohio.

 

*Megan Zech (MEd ’18) and Corey Zech welcomed their first child, Landon Alexander Zech, on Sept. 28, 2019.
